may 21 God's timing...

This week has been nice, With few difficulties and quite a bit of fun! We had another baptism this week, and we combined with the other elders in our house again. A member made me some gloves, and so those are awesome (black wool with a nice red 'W'). I am getting a matching vest as well. We had a lot of DA's this week, which is always awesome, and we had a new Elder come into the house! He was in SA because his Visa hadn't gone through, so he was in South for the first 4 weeks of his mission (not counting MTC). He is from Canada ("yes", is the answer to the thought my mom just had), and his name is Elder Saintonge (He speaks French). We have had a fun time with him, and for his first experience with Sadza, it was myself who did the cooking! It was D-lectable, if I do say so myself. . . and I do.
We now have geasers that work. . . don't need to boil water for HOT WATER!!!! YAY!!!!! but still bucket baths =P

I ate at a member's house, a Sister Moyo, on Thursday, and we ate. . . MADORA!!!! which is, Caterpillers. And EWW! they were tasty!

Story:
We are meeting an investigator who lives in one end of our area in the other end, with a member (he enjoys walking). He doesn't have a phone, but we gave him a paper with the address and rough directions. The distance between where he lives and the member is about 2 km (just over 1 mile). As it turns out, he lost the paper with the address, but he decided to just make his way there, and ask for help along the way in finding his fellowshipper's home.
Place Joseph Ndlovu at the market about 2/3 of the distance between beginning and ending destination.
We are running late due to difficulties with plumbing (we need to wait for the person to finish before we can leave). We have called the fellowshipper, but the investigator isn't there yet. We are rushing very fast on our bikes and we come down and are passing through the market. As we are leaving, we see a member who calls us over. He gives us a referral, who is with him. As we are talking, Joseph Ndlovu comes up to us. He saw us passing but we didn't hear his calling.

Our investigator acted in faith, going where he needed to go, even though he didn't know how to get there. God placed us where we needed to be when we needed to be there with a reason to stop long enough for Joseph to find us. Joseph was just baptized on Saturday, and is wanting to prepare to serve a mission.

We went to Antelope park again today. . . and yes, I rode DUN DUN DUN an Elephant!!!! crazy stuff, eh?
So, I Learned about/saw/rode/hugged/petted elephants. And got some sweet pictures! (even some videos) so check the blog for 'em, cuz there are lots of them!
Also, the sign in the picture you will see is in my area. Yes, in my area. so, I must have caution while tracting =P

Questions:
Mom
what is the weather like right now?
It is getting cold, and dry.
what are the people doing for fun if it is not a beautiful sunny day?
It is always a beautiful sunny day. Not much clouds, very little rain. (once in the last 3 months)
how do the activities of the community change as the seasons change?
For the most part it is always the same, except there is a lot of planting done in the rainy season.

I love you all so much! make sure you remember that, and also that you each owe me 20 bucks! lol just kidding =P
